Syed Sadequain Ahmed Naqvi, also known as Sadequain Naqqash, was a renowned Pakistani artist and poet, celebrated for his calligraphy and painting, with approximately 15,000 works created.

History of Sadequain:

Sadequain was born on June 30, 1930, in Amroha. He came from a family of calligraphers. In 1947, his family moved to Pakistan during the partition. They settled in the Nazimabad area of Karachi. In the late 1940s, he joined the Progressive Writers’ and Artists Movement. His talent was discovered by Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy, who helped him gain fame. He also spent time in Paris to improve his skills.

Sadequain Naqqash was a famous Pakistani artist. He was well-known for his calligraphy and painting. Many consider him one of the best painters and calligraphers in Pakistan. Sadequain helped revive Islamic calligraphy in the country. He believed that divine inspiration guided his journey as a calligrapher.
